Subscriptions may be purchased via the app or through our website. Website-based purchases are handled by Paddle and may be eligible for a 30-day refund (see Section 17).

While FoodCheck uses AI and a vast product database, the information provided may contain errors or become outdated. The data we provide about products, such as ingredients, nutrition, allergens, or eco-scores, might differ from what is listed on product packaging. Users must double-check product labels or consult other reliable sources before making any decisions.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the data. If you identify inaccuracies, you may contact us, but we cannot take responsibility for correcting them.

12. Arbitration and Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of these terms or the use of FoodCheck will be resolved through binding arbitration. By agreeing to these terms, you waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit. Arbitration will be conducted in Munich, Germany, under the rules of the German Arbitration Institute.

16. Website Purchases via Paddle

Our website allows users to purchase subscriptions and one-time digital products (such as eBooks). These purchases are processed through our partner Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is responsible for handling payment processing, invoicing, and applicable taxes.

By purchasing through our website, you agree to be bound by Paddle’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Your transaction may appear as “Paddle.com” or “Paddle.net” on your billing statement.

17. Refund Policy for Website Purchases

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for purchases made through our website (via Paddle). If you are not satisfied with your subscription or digital product (e.g., an eBook), you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase.

To request a refund, please contact us at help@foodcheck.ai with your order number and reason for the request. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Paddle.

This refund policy applies only to purchases made through our website. Purchases made through mobile app stores (Apple App Store or Google Play) are subject to the respective store’s refund policies.
